Celebration of Patron Saint’s day of monastery of Decani

His Grace retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina, celebrated the Divine Liturgy while Bishop Teodosije and Vicar Bishop Jovan of Lipljan concelebrated. Besides four hundred believers, the Holy Liturgy was also attended by pupils of the Seminary of Sts. Cyril and Methodius from Prizrena with their teachers and a group of Orthodox believers from Albania, who were led by their teacher Nathan Hopi.
Following the blessing of the slava cake which was cut by both Bishop Atanasije and archimandrite Sava, the abbot of the monastery, the solemn audience took place. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Mileta Radojevic, the Director of the Government’s Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities with associates and Mr. Mirko Krilic, the vice director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohia, attended the celebration. Representatives of UNMIK, EULEX, OESC, EU, KFOR and diplomatic representatives of the USA, the Russian Federation, Germany, France, Greece, Romania and Slovenia were present in the monastery.
