Lazarus Saturday and Palm Sunday at Tvrdos monastery

On Lazarus Saturday and on Palm Sunday, April 16 and 17 2011, at Tvrdos Monastery, retired Bishop Atanasije (Jevtic) served the Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of hieromonk Dimitrije, presbyter Drazen Tupanjanin, hierodeacon Porfirije with great help of children of Tvrdos. After which sermons were held by the Bishop.

Solemn procession on the Eve of the feast of Palm Sunday at Gracanica Monastery

The Eve of the feast of Palm Sunday was festively celebrated at Gracanica Monastery where lots of believers and children gathered. After he blessed willow branches and handed out little bells to children, Bishop Teodosije along with faithful people went in a solemn procession around the Monastery's church. 

Next day on the feast of Palm Sunday Bishop Teodosije served the Divine Liturgy in Banjska Monastery.

Patriarch Irinej awarded with "Captain Misa Anastastijevic" award

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch was awarded on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in a Great hall of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad the Captain Misa Anastasijevic award.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on the feast day of Annunciation of the Mother of God in Belgrade's church of St. Mark the Apostle and the Evangelist.

Annunciation of the Mother of God in Celije Monastery

In monastery Celije on April 7, 2011 formally and in a great spiritual joy was celebrated the feast day of the Annunciation of the Mother of God. Each year in a Holy family of Celije a great number of Orthodox believers is gathered from our local Church and from other Orthodox sisterly Churches. Therefore this year also in the Liturgical celebration of this beautiful holiday lots of believers participated, not just from nearby Valjevo but also from Podgorica, Belgrade, Zemun, Sid, Trebinje and other places around Serbia and other Serbian lands. The great joy for all the attendees was a presence of believers and priests from Slovakia.
