Patron Saint's Day of Monastery of Ostrog

River of ten thousands pilgrims from all parts of the world constantly yesterday and today was coming to the Ostrog monastery to worship the Ostrog Wonderworker. Many of them came on foot from many parts of Montenegro, but also from Trebinje and other places in Herzegovina. 

The Divine Liturgy was served this morning His Eminence Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and Vicar Bishop Jovan of Dioclea, the heugomen of the Ostrog monastery with the concelebration of priests and monks of Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral.

Serbian Patriarch Irinej visits Republic of Srpska


Many Orthodox believers, priests and monks of the Diocese of Dabrobosna solemnly welcomed Serbian Patriarch Irinej at the Dobrun Monastery.  


Lots of Orthodox believers from Visegrad and nearby suburbs, monks and priests of the Diocese of Dabrobosna on Wednesday evening welcomed Serbian Patriarch Irinej. The festive welcome was enhanced also by young folklorists from the Serbian Sokol  society "SOKO" from Dobrun, and Patriarch Irinej had been welcomed before on the  border crossing Vardiste by Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabrobosna and mayor of Visegrad Tomislav Popovic..  

Solemn Academy with regard to 175 years of the Seminary of St. Sava in Belgrade

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended last night in the amphitheater of the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade the solemn academy regarding 175 years of the St. Sava Seminary in Belgrade. Following the welcoming speech of protopresbyter-staurophor Dragan Protic, the dean of the Seminary, there was an inspired St.Sava speech of Goran Radenkovic, the professor of the Seminary.  


The memorial day of the burning of the holy relics of St. Sava marked

This year also the Serbian Orthodox Church prayerufylly, conciliarly and liturgically remembers the mindless act of the burning of the holy relics of St. Sava - our spiritual  founder, the first-enthroned and teacher. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch led the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Memorial Cathedral of St. Sava in Vracar, the magnificent  monument that Serbian people is completing in glory and honor of Lord Jesus Christ and St. Sava.

St. George's Day in Belgrade

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. George the Great-martyr on Bezanija.
