On 24 May 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia presented His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine with the Order of the Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles. The ceremony took place at the Throne Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
Members of the delegation, accompanying His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos, were also presented with high awards of the Russian Orthodox Church: Metropolitan Kyriakos of Nazareth; Archbishop Aristarchos of Konstantina, secretary general of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem; and Archbishop Theophylactos of Jordan, Patriarchal Commissioner to Bethlehem – with the Order of the Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles (2nd class); Archimandrite Stephanos (Dispirakis), representative of the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; Archimandrite Galaktionos, hegumen of the monastery in Ramallah; and hierodeacon Athanasios (Themistokleos) – with the Order of the Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles (3rd class).

On May 24, 2013, the commemoration day of Ss Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Teachers of the Slavs (Patriarch Kirill’s name day), and the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Assumption in the Moscow Kremlin.

On 17 May 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), who was making a working trip to Istanbul with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, visited the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Metropolitan Hilarion venerated the relics of Ss Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar.
Upon the invitation of His All-Holiness Bartholomew, Patriarch of Constantinople, His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia visited Phanar.

Archbishop Ieronymos will be proclaimed an honorary professor of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston during the graduation ceremony on Saturday.
The Archbishop visited the Boston Art Museum on Thursday and the scene of the bloody bomb attack near the finishing line of the Boston marathon race last month. Later in the evening, he will attend a formal dinner given in his honor by Metropolitan Bishop Methodios.
On 13 May 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, currently on a visit to China, visited St. Sophia Cathedral in Harbin. He was accompanied by Ambassador Andrei Denisov of the Russian Federation to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Sergei Paltov, Russian Consul General in Shenyang, Mr. Zhang Lebin, deputy director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs under the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, and members of the official delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Patriarch Kirill recalled the destruction of Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow and underlined the importance of preserving any traces of Russian presence in China for the development of relations between China and Russia.
