Archpriest Georges Florovsky’s book “Christianity and Culture” is published in the Chinese Language

Archpriest Georges Florovsky’s book “Christianity and Culture” has been published for the first time in the Chinese language. This was reported by Archpriest Dionisy Pozdnyaev, the priest-in-charge of the community of the Chief Apostles, Saints Peter and Paul, in Hong Kong.

The publication was realized by the Hong Kong Institute of Sino-Christian Studies, with support of the Orthodox Brotherhood of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Hong Kong and the Orthodox Fellowship of All Saints of China (United States).

The choir of the Grodno Orthodox Eparchy got the top prize of the 31st International Festival of Orthodox Church Music in Hajnowka (Poland), BelTA learnt from Consul General of Belarus in Bialystok Alexander Berebenya.

In his words, apart from this award, the male choir of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus received a special prize.

On 28 May 2012, in the course of his visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece and his suite visited Donskoy Monastery, the Convent of the Intercession, and the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Moscow.

H.E. Michael Spinellis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Greek Republic to the Russian Federation, Counsellor for Cultural Affairs Dimitrios Yalamas, and hieromonk Makariy (Chusov) of the monastery.

His Beatitude Ieronymos and members of his delegation venerated the Don Icon of the Mother of God and the relics of St. Tikhon of Moscow and sang troparion to the saint.
