Patron Saint's Day celebrated and frescoes blessed of the church of St. Demetrius in Windsor, Ontario9. November 2011 - 12:20
Our holy Church, St. Demetrius the Great Martyr in Windsor, celebrated its Krsna Slava, our patron Saint. His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada officiated at the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of the clergy.
His Eminence Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral continuing his visit to Argentina as Bishop-administrator of a newly-founded Diocese of Buenos Aires of the Serbian Patriarchate, served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on Sunday, November 6 2011 in the premises of the Yugoslav society "Njegos" in the city of General Juan Madariaga in the province of Buenos Aires.
In Silas, a place near Osijek, on the feast day of St. Jacob the Apostle ( All Souls Day), His Grace Bishop Lukija of Osek,Polje and Baranja consecrated crosses and bells for the new church of St. Elijah the Prophet.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Great Martyr St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki in New Belgrade, with the concelebration of the priesthood of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.
His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, Vicar of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served on the feast day of St. trophy-bearer Demetrius the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in the church of Holy Russian Prince Alexander Nevsky. His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by protonamesnik Branislav Jelic, protodeacon Momir Lecic and deacon Aleksandar Sekulic.
On the day when we celebrate two saints of our Church, St. Luke, the Christ's Apostle and Evangelist and the great protector of the Serbian people before the Lord, St. Peter of Cetinje, in the Nis's church of St. Luke, a holiday's vigil service and the Hierachal Liturgy with priests of diocese of Nis and Bihac-Petrovac was served by His Grace Bishop Dr Jovan of Nis.During the Liturgy the Bishop ordained Mr. Stevan Kricko, the graduate theologian, a deacon.
