With the solemn vesper service, and then spiritual academy in the monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi, on Friday, August 3, 2012 as well as with the Divine Liturgy on August 4, 2012 on the feast day of Saint Mary Magdalene, the 10th anniversary of the restoration of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic was celebrated.
The church of Saint Prophet Elijah in Mirijevo built in 1834 from the material taken from the ruins of the monastery Slanci and belongs to the oldest church in Belgrade. Its 178th church slava marked it in the most solemn way. In the full church and tthe courtyard, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of priests and deacons of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.
The feast day of Holy hieromartyr Margaret was solemnly celebrated in the monastery of Klisina, in the presence of many priests and believers who traditionally gathered in this monastery. On the Even of the feast day the all night vigil service was served by His Grace Bishop Porfirije of Jegar, abbot of the Kovilj monastery.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on July 31, 2012 in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade the delegation of the Restitution Agency consisting of director of the Agency Mr. Strahinja Sekulic and director of the Unit for confession restitution Mr. Vladimir Todorovic.
Representatives of the Agency informed about a new organizing of the process of the restitution which also included the return of the property to the Churches and religion communities.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America Monastery Marcha, located between the Cleveland and Akron parishes in Northeast Ohio, celebrated their Monastery Slava, St. Archagel Gabriel, on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
His Grace Bishop Mitrophan made an archpastoral visit to the St. Elijah the Prophet Serbian Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio on Sunday, July 29, 2012. His Grace officiated at the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the parish patronal feast day celebration of St. Elijah the Prophet.
Assisting His Grace, the bishop, at the holy altar were V. Rev. Dragan Zaric from Charlotte, North Carolina and Rev. Dragan Goronjic, the administrator of this small parish. Also serving were Protodeacon Milan Medakovich and Hierodeacon Constantine from St. Tikhon's Monastery.
