Foundations of the medieval church of St. Kyriaki undermined

The Diocese of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija reported today to the Kosovo police serious damage on the medieval church of St. Kyriaki in the suburb of Potkaljaja in Prizren. It is about the small church from 14th century which was damaged and in several occasion its lead from the roof was stolen. In the last case one Albanian, who is allegedly the owner of the lot, began with digging of the foundations for a new building, so he undermined the foundations of the church. Static is at risk and requires an urgent recovery. 

The Diocese reported this newest incident also to the EU Special Representative for Serbian spiritual and cultural heritage Mr. Dimitris Moshopoulos asking urgent  international reaction because it is the protected object and the area of the close historical zone of Prizren.

Patriarch Irinej served the memorial service to Queen Maria

 

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served today the memorial service at the Royal Palace Chapel of St Andrew the First Called on the occasion of 50 years since the death of Queen Maria. The memorial service was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II, Princess Katherine and Prince Philip Karadjordjevic.

St. Peter of Korisha - Diocesan Chapel Slava in Alhambra

On Saturday, June 18, 2011 in the Diocesan Chapel in Alhambra, His Grace, Bishop Maxim, of the Western American Diocese, together with Fr. Nikola Ceko, Fr. Stevo Kovacevich, Fr. Blasko Paraklis, Fr. Jovan Babic, and faithful from the area, celebrated the Feast of St. Peter of Korisha.

Holy Pentecost in Frankfurt

His Grace Bishop Konstantin of Middle Europe on the Eve of Holy Pentecost participated vesper service which was served by protonamesnik Simeon Tirkic and deacon Aleksandar Perkovic in the church of St. Luke The Apostle and  the Gospeller in Frankfurt a.M. On the feast day of Holy Pentecost His Grace Bishop served in the same church the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of protopresbyter Marko Jovanovic and deacon Aleksandar Perkovic

Patriarch Irinej in St. Roman monastery in Djunis

 

On Sunday of All Saints, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch brought a blessing to the monastery of St. Roman in Djunis, where he served the Divine Liturgy.
