Zemun - His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served yesterdaym, on the feast daz of St. Nicholas, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church dedicated to this saint in Zemun. On this occasion Patriarch Irinej blessed the continuation of the restoration of this oldest Zemun's church.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, December 18, on the feast day of St. Sava the Blessed the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Belgrade's Cathedral church. This day was also the third week before the Christmas when according to our tradition of the church and the people we celebrate Detinci. On that day children give their parents gifts of the earth, joy and songs.
On Sunday, December 11, 2011 His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral served Divine Liturgy in St. George the Great martyr church in Shererville, in Indiana. The Metropolitan was concelebrated with protopresbyters-staurophors Denis Pavicevic, Radomir Nikcevic, and protopresbyter Dobrivoje Milunovic, as well as two deacons and lots of parishioners.
With the patriarchal blessing of His Holiness and Beatitude k.k. Ilia II Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Heir to the throne of Georgia and the head of the oldest Orthodox royal dinasty in the world, His Royal Highness Prince Davit Bagrationi-Moukhraneli Batonshvilli of Georgia, yesterday bestowed upon His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch the highest distinction of the famous dinasty - The Royal Order of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Moscow, December 12, 2011 - Heugomen of the Holy Serbian Imperial Laura archimandrite Metodije and Bishop Antonije of Moravica met in Moscow with Nenad Popovic, the president of the ABC company, lecturer at the Moscow's Lomonosov University and the State Mining University and member of the parliament of the Republic of Serbia. The same day, the Hilandar delegation met at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate with deputy president of the DECR archpriest Nikolai Balashov.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch concluded today his canonical visit to the Stauropegial monastery of St. Sava in Libertville and the Dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church which are located across the Midwestern and Western United States.
