Many faithful people of the capital of Serbia gathered also this year on the feast day of Saint Petka in this Kalimegdan sacred place to pray the Lord and ask for the prayerful representation and comfort from the Saint of Belgrade and Trnovo. Divine Liturgy was served by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch with the concelebration of the brotherhood of the church Ruzica.
The feast day of Venerable mother Parascheva solemnly was celebrated with the Divine Liturgy in the church on Cukarica, which is dedicated to this great Saint and Christian pilgrim.
On the feast day of Venerable Parascheva of the Balkans, on October 27, 2011 the citizens of Adice, a suburb of Novi Sad with prayers and blessing the slava wheat and cakes, celebrated the feast day of their church which is under construction.
On Thursday, October 27 2011 in the Episcopal palace in Novi Sad, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa received His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Germany in Serbia Mr. Wolfram Mass.
During cordial and friendly talk about the current topics, interlocutors discussed also the problems that exist in this part of Europe, as well as of the potential of Christianity for the development more humane society in Europe and in the world.
His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served on the feast day of St. Apostle Jacob, on Saturday October 22, the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of Kosijerevo and the memorial service in the church of St. Apostle Luke in Kosijerevo in Petrovici near Niksic.
