His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received yesterday in separate visits His Excellency Roman Waschuk, the newly appointed ambassador of Canada in Serbia, His Excellency Dr Majed Shadoud, the ambassador of Syria in Belgrade and László Haraszti, counsellor at the Embassy of Hungary in Belgrade.
Consul general of the Republic of Turkey in Mostar Tulgo Bermek and representatives of Turkish agency for development (TIKA) with the seat in Sarajevo on December 22 visited the Diocese of Zahumlje-Herzegovina. The delegation was cordially welcomed by protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoje Krulj with representatives of the CC Mostar. The distinguished guests were got to know the all plas and projects of the Diocese. The representatives of the Turkish development agency expressed a wish to help in a realization of some projects and in that way help the restoration of the Diocese in Mostar.
His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana served on December 18, 2011 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in St. Alexander Nevsky church with the concelebration of the brotherhood of this church.
The church-school community of St. Sava from Johannesburg hosted the celebration of St. Apostle Andrew the First Called which was also celebrated by members of the Romanian Orthodox community in South Africa. Since our brothers Romanians recently bought a land for building a first Orthodox church in South Africa and until recently celebrated this feast day mostly in Greek churches, this year that asked the Serbian parish to use for this occasion the church and the hall.
His Grace Bishop Konstantin of Middle Euroe served on the feast day of St. Nicholas, December 19, 2011 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of the Assumption of Most Holy Theotokos in Himmelstir near Hildesheim, where is located also the center of the Diocese of Middle Europe. His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by protosyngellos Sergije Paraklis, the head of the monastery in Himmelstir, and deacon Aleksandar Perkovic.
