With the Archpastoral Blessings of Diocesan Bishop, His Grace Bishop Dr. MITROPHAN, a number of clergy of the Eastern American Diocese came to St. Sava Camp- Shadeland, the location of the Monastery of the Most Holy Mother of God, for the Second Annual Clergy Gathering.
His Grace, Bishop Maxim traveled to Portland, Oregon to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the parishioners of the St. Stephen Archdeacon Church on Saturday, January 9, 2010.
The ultimate goal of this combined program of International Orthodox Christian Charities-IOCC and with the blessings of His Grace Bishop Irinej, the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia and New Zealand, is to contribute to the process of reconciliation and stabilization in Kosovo and Metohija, and to foster an environment that creates sustainable opportunities for improved livelihoods and economic development of the targeted areas. To achieve the program's ultimate goal, IOCC, Inc. will provide support and assistance to the Visoki Dečani and Patriarchate of Peć monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija.

On the day of Saint Nicholas, Bishop Longin served a hierarchal Liturgy in the New Gracanica Monastery along with a number of Serbian and Russian clergy. On that day, the Bishop ordained Nikolaj Kostur into the rank of a deacon. Nikolaj is a graduate of the Holy Trinity Seminary and of Saint Vladimir's Seminary.
