Serbian Patriarch with Bishops and priests served Divine Liturgy in the church of St. Dimitry the Great Martyr in Kosovska Mitrovica17. September 2011 - 14:17
In the morning, on Friday September 16 Serbian Patriarch served the Divine Liturgy in a full church of St. Dimitry the Great Martyr with the concelebration of bishops: Metropolitan Amfilohije, Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Bishop David of Krusevac and about 20 priests from the regency of Mitrovica of the Diocese of Raska and Prizren and other Dioceses of the SOC. The Liturgy was attended also by Bishop Pahomije of Vranje and Vicar Bishop Jovan of Lipljan as well as many hundreds of believers from the north of Kosovo.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej urged this evening in Kosovska Mitrovica for unity of the Serbian people in the defense of Kosovo and Metohija.
The primary school and a grammar school he finished in Dusseldorf (Germany), and after the final examination he spent a year on Mount Athos (1980-1981).
He enrolled to the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Belgrade in September 1981 and graduated on March 25, 1986.
Pupils of schools and high schools of Krusevac, along with their religious teachers gathered on Wednesday, August 31 in the Cathedral Church of St. George in Krusevac where His Grace Bishop David of Krusevac served a public prayer service at the beginning of a new school year with the concelebration of priests of the city of Krusevac.
