Foundations of the church of St. Jevstatije in Trepca

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic consecrated on Sunday, May 14, on the feast day of St. Jeremiah the Prophet, the foundations of the church which is going to be built in the village of Trepca, near Andrijevica.

The future church in Trepca, the village between Berane and Andrijevica, will be devoted to St. Jevstatije the Serbian, the great spiritual father and the prominent hierarch of our Holy Church. The foundations were consecrated by His Grace Bishop Joanikije with the concelebration of a few priests of the regency of Berane-Andrijevica and monks of the Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery. There were many faithful people present here as well as Mr. Vuko Golubovic, the mayor of Berane and Ministry of Health in the Government of the Republic of Montenegro  Dr. Miodrag Radunovic.

Liturgy in Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served on the feast day of St. Athanasius the Great, on Sunday May 15, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery.

Bishop was concelebrated with the priests of the hierarchal regency of Berane and monks of the Monastery, accompanied by protosyngellos M.Sci. Jovan Culibrk.

Patriarch and Bishops at the White Palace

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II hosted a dinner at the White Palace in honour of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch and the Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, on the occasion of the annual session of the Holy Assembly.

Zvezdana visits Patriarch

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on May 13, 2011 at the Court of the Serbian Patriarchate a brave girl, Zvezdana Jurica, with parents Valerija and Slobodan, brother Nemanja and members of the editorial staff of "Svetosavsko zvonce".  

Bishop's Palace consecrated in Kraljevo

On the fourth Sunday following Easter, on May 2/15 2011, on the feast day of St. Athanasius the Great, the Diocese of Zica was visited by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch. The motive of the visit was a consecration of the newly built Bishop's Palace in Kraljevo.
