Serbian Patriarch Irinej in Diocese of Zvornik-Tuzla
His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch served on May 12, 2010, on a feast day of St. Basil of Ostrog, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in a monastery of St. Basil of Ostrog in Bijeljina. Patriarch IRINEJ was concelebrated by Bishops Lavrentije of Sabac, Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla, Georgije of Canada and Lukijan of Osek-Polje.
His Holiness Patriarch Irinej visited the Diocese of Zvornik-Tuzla, and in this way the Republic of Srpska, upon the invitation of Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla. The visit of Patriarch was a great honour and spiritual joy for thousands of believers that participated in the Holy Liturgy. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy also was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik.
After the Liturgy Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla greeted His Holiness, bishops, priests, monks and faithful people.
After the speeches there was a formal procession, cutting the slava cake and the formal lunch.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, accompanied by Bishop Vasilije, visited monasteries near Bijeljina.
