Parishioners of the Cathedral church of Holy Great Martyr George in Novi Sad, led by their Bishop, prayerfully celebrated the feast day of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist 

The celebration of the feast day began with solemn feast's vigil service which was celebrated by protopresbyter Stanimir Popovic. Guests of His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa were Metropolitan Seraphim of Zimbabwe and Angola (Patriarchate of Alexandria), Bishop Elijah of Philomelyon (Albanian Orthodox Church) as well as representatives of the Anglican Church, who are in Novi Sad due to the conference.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch visited Serbian Orthodox monastery of the Nativity of Most Holy Theotokos in New Carlisle, Indiana

His Holiness, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica-Midwestern America, presbyter Vladimir Vranic and deacon Aleksandar Vujkovic, arrived in the monastery on the eve of the feast day of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist when he served the vigil service with local priesthood.  Next morning, on the feast day of the Beheading, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy. His Grace Bishop Longin attended the Liturgy. Sisterhood of this monastery warmly welcomed the Patriarch and showed on this occasion their generosity.

In the village of Banov Do near Zvecan, Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren consecrated on 8 September 2013 a newly built church of Holy Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen. Following the consecration of the church and the Holy Liturgy Bishop Teodosije presented hierarchal gramata to Mr. Milosav Gvozdovic from Banov Do for his effort regarding the building of this church.

Consecration of the new Serbian school and other objects  of the Church-school congregation of Saint Demetrius in Windsor 

On Sunday 8 September 2013 at the church of Holy Great Martyr Demetrius in Windsor was very solemn. On that day His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada came for a visit. His Grace along with competent priest protopresbyter Jovica Cetkovic and deacon Stefan Ikonomovski celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy. The occasion of this liturgical gathering was a completition of the works on the restoration of the church offices and the church coutyard. Thus the Bishop consecrated the restored and newly built objects.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Stavropegial monastery of Saint Sava in Libertyville on Sunday, 8 September 2013

Serbian Patriarch Irinej was concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of East America with local priests. The choir of the Faculty of Orhodox Theology at this monastery sang responses. Following the Divine Liturgy Bishop Mitrophan, dean of this faculty, served the Invocation of the Holy Spirit. Members of the Women's charitable society Saint Anastasia prepared an agape lunch.
