His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, met with Mr. Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Justice and Public Administration; Mrs. Gordana Stamenic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration, as well as with Mr. Mileta Radojevic, Director of the Office for Cooperation with Traditional Churches and Religious Communities.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej also received Her Excellency Nafsika Krusti, Ambassador of Cyprus in Belgrade.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, met with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic and Professor Dr. Oliver Antic, advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia on 21 February 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received today, on 20 February 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, a delegation of the Association of the war volunteers 1912-1918. Serbian Patriarch received on 17 February 2013 in separate audiences Her Excellency Mette Kjuel Nielsen, Ambassador of Denmark in Belgrade, and academician Dragoljub Zivojinovic. On 14 February 2013 at Serbian Patriarchate Patriarch Irinej had an audience for Mr. Sinisa Pavic, Serbian consul in Thessaloniki.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops and the Committee of the Holy Assembly of Bishops for Kosovo and Metohia visited the Southern Serbian province from 6-8 February. Along with Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Bishop Jovan of Lipljan, Vicar to His Holiness, in Kosovo and Metohija were also Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Bishop Vasilije of Srem, Pahomije of Vranje, Jovan of Sumadia, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, David of Krusevac and retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina.
On Sunday, February 17th, His Grace Bishop Mitrophan visited the Serbian Orthodox faithful of Philadelphia Pa. and vicinity. At His arrival at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, the children of the church-school greeted His Grace with flowers. His Grace then led the celebration of the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, assisted by Fr. Milorad Orlic, the parish priest. The congregation that filled the church sang the responses. In His homily for Zacchaeus Sunday, His Grace drew the attention of the faithful to Zaccheaus’ strong will to see Our Lord Jesus Christ. He reminded the faithful of the teaching of the holy fathers – that while God was able to create us without our will; He cannot save us without our will.
