Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities visited Bishop of Backa13. September 2012 - 12:28
Yesterday, on September 12, 2012 in the Episcopal palace in Novi Sad, His Grace Bishop Dr Irinej of Backa received Mr. Mileta Radojevic, newly appointed director of the Office for cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities of the Government of Serbia.
Bishop Irinej congratulated Mr. Radojevic for the appointment and expressed his best wishes for success in his future work, which he would do with God's help, on behalf and by the will of the Serbian people and the rest citizens of Serbia and in this way in the benefit of the Serbian Orthodox Church, other traditional Churches and religious communities.
Mr. Mileta Radojevic thanked for the hospitality and pointed out that he would do his best in the regard to his experience and cooperation with the Serbian Orthodox Church to help solving all issues important for the life and the mission of the Serbian Orthodox Church and other traditional Churches and religious communities in Serbia.
The academic year at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago was festively opened on Sunday, September 9th, with the celebration of a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Invocation of the Holy Spirit – the “Spirit of Truth” and “Treasury of blessings” – upon the children, students, parents, teachers, and volunteers who participate in the Cathedral’s wide range of educational activities.
His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral kyr Amfilohije, bishop administrator of the diocese of Buenos Aires and South-Central American, was between September 1-4, 2012 in the visit to our Orthodox community in Lima.
On the third day of stay in the church camp of Metropolitanate of Corfu the awarded pupils in the contest We Are Their Descendats organized by Svetosavsko Zvonce visited the Serbian House in the center of Corfu, the Blue cemetary at the Vido island, a church of Saint Spiridonos in the city and attended the welcome reception of the Metropolitanat of Corfu at the building of the Church municipality.
With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist on Petlovo Brdo in Belgrade.
