His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, Vicar to Serbian Patriarch, cut the slava cake of the members of the Union of Bakers of Serbia and Belgrade. A number of representatives of the baker's guild attended the slava rite.

The children of the Boston parish honored St. Sava by celebrating his day (Savindan) along with the church’s patron Saint’s day on Sunday, January 27th.  They delivered an inspirational and delightful program for the parish with His Grace Bishop Mitrophan in attendance.

On the feast day of the Veneration of the Precious Chains of Apostle Peter, on January 29 2013, His Grace Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Krka Monastery along with the clergy and monks of the Diocese of Dalmatia. Since the Veneration of the Precious Chains of Apostle Peter is the Patron Saint-day (slava) of Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia, protopresbyter-staurophor cut the slava cake.

Bishop Fotije in his address at the festal luncheon spoke about the feast day of the Veneration of the Precious Chains and the place and significance of Apostle Peter in the early Church.

Saint Sava, the common slava of all the Serbs, was celebrated prayerfully, solemnly and majestically in the capital of Austria. The children’s programme with recitals and gifts was appropriated on Saturday, 26 January, at churches of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Resurrection of Christ after the Achatist to Saint Sava was served.
