The Feast of the Holy Glorious Elijah, Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016, was a joyous day in the Western American Diocese. During the Divine Liturgy, at the Saint Steven's Cathedral in Alhambra, California, His Grace Bishop Maxim ordained to the deaconate, Vladan Radovanovic.

Bishop Electus of Dioclea Kiril (Bojovic) was consecrated at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica on 31 July 2016 during the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy which was served by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch. (PHOTO GALLERY)

With the prayerful participation of many believers, His Holiness was  concelebrated by His Grace Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Jovan;  His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Bishops Dositej of Britain-Scandinavica, Fotije of Dalmatia, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina, Joakim of Polog-Kumanovo, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, Jovan of Pakrac-Slavonia, Sergije of Frankfur, Jeronim of Jegar, as well many priests and monks.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, performed the rite of proclamation of Archimandrite Kiril (Bojovic) for Bishop of Dioclea at the Cathedral church of Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica on 30 July 2016.

Besides His Holiness also served Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Jovan, Bishops Dositej of Britain and Scandinavia, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Joakim of Polog-Kumanovo, Sergije of Frankfurt and Jeronim of Jegar.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, arrived in Podgorica today, on 30 July 2016.

His Holiness, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Jeronim of Jegar, was welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral along with Bishop Electus of Dioclea Archimandrite Kiril and the clergy of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral at the Podgorica airport. Serbian Patriarch, after the welcome at the airport, visited Laura of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher at the Nemanja Town. At the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ the Patriarch will arrive at 6:30 p.m., where the clergy and the faithful will welcome him. The occasion of the Patriarch’s visit to Montenegro is the consecration of the Bishop Electus of Dioclea Archimandrite MSc Kiril Bojovic, which will be published on Sunday, 31 July 2016, at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej will conduct the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of many bishops of our Church with the beginning at 8 a.m. The rite of proclamation will be performed at the church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica on Saturday, 30 July 2016 with the beginning at 7 p.m.

Consecration of Bishop Electus Kiril of Dioclea

The consecration of Archimandrite MSc Kiril Bojovic, Bishop Electus of Dioclea, will be performed at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica on Sunday, July 31st, 2016.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, will officiate the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy together with many Hierarchs of the Serbian Church beginning at 8 a.m. The rite of proclamation will be performed also at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ on the previous day, Saturday of July 30th, 2016 at 7 p.m.
