Exhibition opened in Zajecar - Late Antique/ Early Christian art in an interpretation of students of the SOC Academy

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Justin of Timok, on Friday April 29, 2011 in the National museum in Zajecar the exhibiton titled "1700 YEARS AFTER - Late Antique/ Early Christian art in the interpretation of the students of the Academy of the SOC." The exhibition, with which began the marking of the 1700th anniversary of the edict of toleration of Religion consists of 40 pieces (Early Christian frescoes, mosaics, encaustic and facilities).

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received yesterday at Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 27 December 2012 in separate visits: Mr Mileta Radojevic, the director of the Office for Cooperation with Traditional Churches and Religious Communities, as well as Mr. Milojko Budimir, president of the Association of the Croatian Serbs, with members of the delegation: Mr. Cedomir Maric, Mr. Rada Matijas, Mr. Veljko Vukelic and Mr. Jovan Kablar. 

Construction to resume on new St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church

Construction stopped earlier this year when the builder hired by the church when out of business. But new subcontractors may resume work in late January. The construction of the new St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church at 18870 Allendale Avenue hit a snag early this year when the builder the church hired went out of business. Since then all work has been halted on the large structure located on busy Allendale.

TWO funeral services for the Very Reverend Archpriest Ambrose Trevor Jackson, one in Adelaide and the other in rural Victoria, were attended by clergy and parishioners from the Serbian, Greek, Russian, Antiochian and Romanian Orthodox as well as Coptic, Anglican and Catholic churches.

The diverse congregations demonstrated the connections Father Ambrose had made in an unusual life journey.
