On the third Sunday of the Venerable Cross which is called the Sunday of the Life-giving Cross, because the Cross is brought on the Sunday matin service. On March 18, 2011 on Sunday of the Venerable Crossm the Divine Liturgy was served in the Cathedral church of Christ the Saviour with the presence of many believers.
On the March 18th, 2012, the Third Sunday of Great and Holy Lent, His Grace Bishop Maxim, V. Rev. Nicholas Ceko, V. Rev. Lazar Vasiljevic, V. Rev. Ilija Dajkovic, Rev. Heiromonk Jovan Babic, Rev. Norman Kosanovich, and the parishioners of the Saint Steven's Cathedral in Alhambra, California commemorated the Precious and Life-Gving Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At this point on our lenten journey, "the Life-Giving Cross is presented to us for refreshment and assurance, for remembrance of our Lord's Passion, and for comfort...." and prepares us for the commemoration of the Crucifixion during Holy Week.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, vicar of Patriarch served today in the church of St. Great Martyr prince Lazar the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts with the concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophor Dragoslav Stikic. On this occasion the faithful people of the parishes of Lazarica and along with the Bishop participated in the service of God.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch awarded on Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Serbian Patriarch in Belgrade, Dmitry Vladimirovich Tabachnik, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of Ukraine with the Order of St. Sava of the Second Degree, in the presence of Vicar Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, as well as representatives of Embassies of Ukraine in Serbia.
On Sunday of the Life-Giving Cross, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. Archangel Michael on Dedinje. His Eminence Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral served in the church of St. Basil of Ostrog on Bezanijska Kosa, while Their Graces Bishops Atanasije of Hvosno and Andrej of Remesiana served in the church of Synaxis of All Serbian Saints on Karaburma, or in the church of St. Evangelist and Apostle Luke on Kosutnjak.
