His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on Saturday, June 30, 2012 the most successful participants of the competition of the Days of Cyrillic Alphabet, their parents, teachers and small hosts, members of the art ensamble "Aca Obradovic" from Bavaniste.
The Serbian church municipality in Dubrovnik, Archive of Serbia and the National Library of Serbia mutually prepared an exhibition The Culture of Serbs in Dubrovnik 1790-2010, from the Treasury of the Serbian Orthodox church of Holy Annunciation, which was opened at the Archive of Serbia. The exhibition represents a crown of the multi-year effort of the team of experts to process an exceptional cultural heritage of the Serbs in Dubrovnik. The opening was attended by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, a few bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, representatives of the Roman Catholic church and islamic religious community, as well as many figures from political, academic, cultural and public life of the capital.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served yesterday, on July 1, 2012 the Holy Hiearchal Liturgy in Cathedral church in Belgrade.
On the Eve of St. Vitus Day, on June 27, after the feast day's evening service a tradition of holding "Prince's supper" was restored as it was before going to "the Battle of Kosovo" in Saint Lazar's and capital city of Krusevac.
On St. Vitus day, June 28, 2012, Bishop David of Krusevac served the Divine Liturgy in Lazarica church with the concelebration of priests and deacons of the Diocese of Krusevac. After the Holy Liturgy the memorial service was served in Lazarica church from where the procession with the relics of Holy Prince Lazar went to the Monument to the Kosovo Heroes where the memorial service was served for the suffered soldiers and military leaders from Kosovo until today.
